My aliens told me that your aliens are wrong

inflatable_alien

Since we launched Green Life Innovators on the web, I’ve been getting many different kinds of emails. One category stands out from the crowd in its own very special way. The emails from people who claim that free energy is readily available and easy to put to use. It’s just that our governments and big business are joining forces in a big conspiracy to cover it all up. Have you ever heard that one before? ;-) For some strange reason, these stories often seem to be coupled with stories of extra terrestrials being the ones reveling the secrets of all this free energy.

Now, when it comes to the existence of extra terrestrial life, I do have to admit that I find it possible, likely even, that we are not alone in the vastness of the universe. And I do also find it likely that ET would have had a lot to teach us, if he had the technical know how it takes to pay us a visit and, indeed, decided to do so.

But, what is it that ET allegedly tells these people? Well, what it often boils down to, is that they have “been told” something that violates some of the most fundamental, longest understood and best empirically verified laws of nature. Like the first law of thermodynamics. You know the first law, the one that tells you that energy can neither be created nor destroyed, just change form. That also means that you can not get more energy out of a machine than you put into it in the first place. And that is what an extraordinary number of these people claim that ET told, if not them, then usually someone who knew someone, who knew…. ah, you know how it goes. :-D

But, at least ET tells them how some, to us yet unknown, principle of nature can be put to use to change everything, right? Right? Wrong! More often than not, these people seem to be playing around with devices utilizing nothing but mechanical, electrical and magnetic principles. In other words, things that human beings have been playing around with a lot, without ever observing a violation of any of the laws of thermodynamics.

Thus, I would say that it is tempting to answer these emails with alleged extra terrestrial knowledge that supposedly negates some of the best understood and observed laws of nature with something in the line of: “Sorry you are wrong. How do I know? Because the aliens I meet every Tuesday told me so. You see, they are aliens with real scientific insight and they told me that the ETs you have been talking to are just teenagers on an interstellar joy ride, eager to pull a prank or two on beings who still wonder if they are alone in the universe.”

Just kidding, of course. I do not meet aliens every Tuesday. But, I would like to say, and this I mean seriously, that if any real extra terrestrials out there, ever happen to stumble upon this article and you have some real insight to share with the human race, “the open source way,” I might add, then we would be happy to have you join the Green Life Innovators community, and post to our web page. I would even love to meet with you personally, but give me a call before you show up, ok? Because having an unexpected visits from aliens landing their space ship on the front lawn without prior notice, would be a rather scary experience, I guess ;-)
